About the Role
Our client is looking for a Kitchen Supervisor to assist with managing cafeteria staff while also performing duties in the kitchen. Duties include:
- Oversee kitchen staff and operations; ensure health and safety work practices while making sure everything runs smoothly
- Plan weekly menus and offerings
- Create weekly grocery list according to weekly menu needs
- Keep track of inventory and place orders when necessary (with approval of manager)
- Notify manager of any needs such as stock, appliance issues, etc.
- Develop and maintain kitchen policies and procedures to improve coordination
- Enforce sanitation practices and procedures
Requirements
High school diploma
Associate's degree or higher (preferred)
Some experience in a supervisory position
Food handling certificate (preferred; required after employment)
Ability to work with a team
Knowledge of dietary needs and restrictions
About the Company
The client is contracted to manage and provide lunch for a school cafeteria. Expect to work in a fast-paced environment with standing and walking, operate various kitched appliances and a POS system. Typical schedule 7 am - 4 pm, M-F.
